The forty photos shot in Rome by the Norwegian photographer Morten Krogvold reveal an admiring, novel and surprising gaze over the Eternal City. The images captured by Krogvold show us familiar streets and monuments arrayed in an unusual light, cold and suffusive, as if the photographer had brought the winter light of the North with him. The exhibition was organized as a part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Norwegian Institute of Rome, and is sponsored by the City of Rome and the Norwegian Embassy. The Idea of the exhibition was stemmed from a cultural project , "Roads from Rome" (Veiene fra Roma), directed by Thomas Thiis-Evensen in the framework of the collaboration between the University of Oslo and the Oslo School of Architecture and Design.
