Genia Chef er opprinnelig fra Kazakhstan, men bor og arbeider i Berlin, Tyskland. Han arbeider som billedkunstner og grafiker.
Genia Chef - historiske fremstillinger
Som grafiker arbeider Genia Chef med litografi som teknikk. Han er kjent verden over for sine realistiske fremstillinger av elementer i surrealistiske settinger. Hans mest kjente verk inkluderer fremstillinger av historiske figurer som Lenin, Stalin og Mussolini.
Genia Chef er representert i samlingen til blant andre det Russiske Statsmuseum i St. Petersburg, Samtidskunstmuseet i Skopje samt Checkpoint Charlie Museum i Berlin.
Born 1954 in Aktjubinsk, Russia.
Lives and works in Berlin, Germany.

- 1977 First place citation for his Diploma, "Master of Fine Arts".
- 1978 Member of the Association of Painters of Moscow.

- 1988-93 Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna
- 1993 "Magister artium" of the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna (painting and graphic art).
- Gold medal of the Academy (Fueger Gold Prize).
